"Emerge Victorious" -President Monson-

I wrote down some quotes from Conference and put them all over my new buletin board that Amber Rhoton helped me make. I love reading them while I'm sitting here at the computer, plus a couple people have asked about them so here they are.

"Our choices determine our Eternal Destiny"

"Turn our homes into Holy Temples...Only the Home can compare with Temples in sacredship"

"Give the horse the reins"

"In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world"

"The future is as bright as your faith"

"The Lord will shape the back to fit the burden"

"Build you Eternal Mansion"

"Make our home a refuge, where the children feel safe and the spirit can alway dwell"

At the Temples we literally become Saviors on this Earth"

"Give our lives to the work of the Lord"

"We are born with the natural capacity to choose between right and wrong through the Light of Christ"

"Temples are houses built unto my name, armed with POWER"

If anyone has more quotes you should blog them. Conference was so great!

Easter Sunday pics

us on Easter

with Grandma Lott

with my sister Carol and her daughter Holly

with my parents G and G Stevens

Just a few from Easter morning!

Happy Birthday too!

Arden put on her own candels! Superfunny!

We made the cake with fondant. All the kids worked it like playdough. It was really fun. Marie makes great parrot shapes! She knows her birds.

Good company!

White Dress

I know that the dress is not the most important thing about being baptized, but it sure was fun to celebrate with it. Arden looked like a million bucks. She loved wearing her dress. I know, I know you think we were planning a wedding!

Arden's Baptism

I can't believe my oldest is eight. I feel like I have entered another realm of Motherhood. Arden is getting so grown up in her own little way. This was an amazing baptism. I feel like she has been waiting her lifetime to do this and here we are. Arden was surround by lots of family who love her. We are so grateful for all the family who came. There was a great spirit at Arden's baptism, she has such a strong spirit. I asked Arden before she was baptized what she thought it was going to be like. She said, "It's going to feel warm inside and we will be surrounded by Angels." She was right, I don't think I could explain it any other way.

These are two of the loves of my life standing in white. This photo means a lot to me. Dave is my knight in shining armor. He has truely magnified his calling as a Husband and Father. Arden looks so petite and small next to Dave who stands tall at his magnificent 6'-4". And the little dress she is wearing to be baptized in was actually really cute, no jumpsuit here!

I never really think any of them look like me until we are cheek to cheek and then I see small resemblences that spark a similarity. Somehow we are alike, although I still can't put my finger on it or describe in accurately.

Arden is so content, so happy, excited, and well she said, "nervous!"

She has grown up so much and it shows.

New Family Room..."After"

So we have new wall color, barely yellow, something cream, and new floors and a new rug or two. And the fatest baseboards one can buy. I love fat wood. It makes such a difference. I told Dave when we are done, I am not going to want to move to a bigger house.

Hair, knives and standing!

Awesome new hair on the Alexis!

Gav stands up on his own all the time!

Spencer loves to cut cantelopes! It takes him awhile, but he does it.

Bucket pusher and bye bye yellow!

Bye bye yellow. This was so hard for me, I loved my yellow but we really need to repaint it, so I went with a different yellow. After painting the dining area three different lighter shades of yellow I finally chose one, the one Dave told me to use in the beginning! It's more like a cream than yellow. I like it more all the time, but I was hoping for a little more yellow than it is. I think I will love it once the base boards are in!

Bucket pusher! Gavin is obsessed with pushing these buckets all over our new floors. It was stressful at first, but its fine now, it doesn't hurt the new floors.
And... Spencer thinks we have built a bowling alley!

Kitchen Mess

This was a mess!
Movie night in Chaos!

Making progress!

Makeshift table!

We actually put Gav in his pack-n-play with toys to keep him off the mess!

Crazy Chaos

Right after I took this first picture with Dave on his hands and knees on the living room floor and Alexis dancing in plastic wrap, Dave looked up at me and said something like this, "My goal is to have the living room done and the den before we go to bed." He got about another five feet and it was midnight! Like I said this took a lot longer than we thought it would.
