Prayer

Dear Lord,

So far today I am doing pretty well. I haven't screamed at the kids or thrown anything in a burst of anger. I have not grumbled or gossiped or whined. I haven't been greedy or selfcentered. I have not yet charged anything to the credit card, and I haven't pigged out on the chocolate cake in the refigerator. However, in a few minutes I will be getting out of bed, and I am going to need your help to make it through the rest of the day.

Amen

I thought this prayer was really funny and I think most of us as mothers can relate to this. I found it in a book I am reading "the Power of a Possitive Mom." It is a good book to recharge and just get one back on the right path. I have been wanting to pray more. I admit I don't say my morning prayers and I know I need to, it would make each day so much better. I think that is why I thought this prayer was so funny. In every chapter the author has examples of real prayers, I think it is interesting to read them. She prays about things I never even think to pray about that are really important! So there is my little possitive plug for pray today!

French Clip Board for our new petals

I got this idea from Amber Rhoton famous creator of Unessessary Nesessities.

I had so may fun flower clips I needed somewhere to hang them all, so here is the new french board now hanging in A and A's room!

Finished Petals

This is what my girls woke up to; all the finished flower clips I made last night. It was like Christmas to them.

Here they are at breakfast with their favorites in their hair ready to show them off at school.

Petal Party

I have never done a Petal Party before and have never been to one. I have talked about it with a friend and she told me call it a Petal Party where we get together and make clips with flowers on them and ribbon for little girls hair. The party was a huge success and everyone had a lot of fun. Everyone brought supplies to make twenty flower clips and made a station with all their supplies. Everyone moved from station to station and make a flower clip at each station and all went home with twenty clips. They are turned out so cute.

Back to School A and A

I took this photo before we headed out the door for their first day of school.
Here is the little funny story I must blog:
We all went shopping the day before school was to start. Alexis picked out this really cute white and hot pink striped terry cloth dresss at Old Navy. Then we went over to Marshals and by accident found some new swim towells for the kids. So we get home and all the kids get the full nine yard of washing hair and bathing etc. So they all want to use their new swim towells and they do. Then Miss Alexis is so excited about her new hot pink and white terry cloth dress that she decides she is going to sleep in it and she does. Well, she woke up at 3am all rashed out from the bugs sprays that they put on new clothes. It was so sad, she was miserable and had to pick a new outfit they next morning, her first day of school.

More soccor

Arden really got in there this year. She loved playing and played hard. The deal was that if any of the kids made a goal they could have a soda. Needless to say, Arden drank her fair share of soda!

Gavin on the sidelines. At the first of the season I would leave him with a babysitter while we went to soccer and them Gav got better and easier. Here he is at Arden's last game, chilling with a yogart and straw!
Well, Alexis didn't play hard at all her last game, because Spencer had scored three goals right before and told her that she could have his soda. Here she is just sweating it out! Soccer was like a chore although she seemed generally excited about attending a game. Dave also coached Alexis's team (I think my husband has a death with) and although Dave was a good coach to all those sweet girls, I think he got a run for his money most of the time!

Soccer is his sport.

I really thought baseball would be his sport, but Spencer perfers soccer over baseball anyday. I think there is just more running around in general and that is exciting to him.

Spencer scored three goals last saturday!

Dave was an amazing coach to Spencer's team, he gave it his all and made each one of those boys feel like a million bucks.

Summer

Summer is over and I feel absolutely wasted. It has been a great summer. I haven't blogged for so long, because we have been so so busy. We had three in soccer and three in swim and one in piano and that was just enough to make me loose my mind. Our family vacation at the end of the summer to Utah was amazing but so exausting since Gavin kept insane tent camping hours. The girls started school last Thurs and they are excited about their teachers. I am excited about the school year routine and have the kids out of all activities except piano for the next couple months while we adjust to school. Spencer will start a co-op preschool with me and five of my friends, I know he will just love it since they are all boys! Wow! I am stating my running and exersize me tomorrow since I haven't ran for two weeks now, wish me luck getting out of bed in the morning!

Bryce Canyon

There are a million more pictures that we took at Bryce Canyon. We fell in love with Bryce, it was the perfect halfway point between Salt Lake and Flagstaff. We camped at Ruby's Inn Campground where we had a pool and hot tub and hot showers, and all of Bryce Canyon. I really like camping with a hot tub, it the real way to go if you have kids. It was a great family vacation and I think we were the only Americans there so we kind of felt like we were across the globe in an odd sort of way.

Frosty Dog and the Gavinator

There is no better dog than this and Gavin knew it. This is what Gavin has been looking for in every dog he has ever encountered and has yet to me it until now; a dog he can just love and be loved back. Meet Frosty, Grandma Lott's killer watch dog!

Horsin' around

We spent a lot of time just hanging out with the horses. The kids just love to get on and drive them around. Arden even rode bareback. They were all in heaven on a horse. Gavin fell in love with the horses and wanted to be right there with them, touching them and riding them. He laughed a lot while riding, it was so so cute.

Fishing, fishing and more fish!

If Dave weren't the love of my life, Spencer would be. The dude ROCKS. Check him out, he lives for the fish and he eats them like they are going out of style.

Arden really got into fishing this day. She just kept realing them in!

Spencer's fish was the biggest and he wanted me to tell you that!

Like guns in a shoot out!

Love, love, love this face. This was actually the first fish of the day and Spencer was just getting started. Good morning fish!

Family Reunion in Duchesne UT and Yellowpine

Here we are in Duchesne UT at the Lott family reunion. We camped there for one night and then headed over to Yellowpine with cousins and camped there for four nights. It was beautiful, the weather was great and it was a lot of work for Dave and I, but worth it for the children. Gavin woke up at some crazy hour in the middle of the night and some outrageously early morning hour every morning, needless to say it was exausting, but worth it to see the kids smiling dirty camping faces!
